I guess if I had to give advice from out of the blue without having a specific question, I’d encourage her to finish it no matter what. Just getting a song written is fantastic.
Also, don’t be afraid to imitate artists you like. Find a song you like, try to figure out what you like about it, and create your own version with similar elements. With a lot of songs on the radio sounding similar, you know the pros are doing this too!
